If you have yet to meet Phippy, she’s a friendly PHP app exploring the cloud native world with her pals. Over the last decade, Phippy’s circle has grown to include eighteen friends, with the newest members joining the crew just last week.
Meet Falkey the Falco, a clever and vigilant bird, always on the lookout for potential threats in the vast skies of the cloud native world. With sharp eyes and quick reflexes, Falkey acts as a guardian, detecting anomalies and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Friendly and approachable, Falkey loves teaching others how to stay safe in the cloud, making even the most complex topics easy to understand for both kids and adults.
Falkey is the sixth bird to join the group, following in the wings of Captain Kube, Owlina, Bitzy, Indigo, and Kuack. While Captain Kube has been around as long as Phippy, Owlina is only four years old; Bitzy, Indigo, and Kuack all just joined the friendly clan last year.
Another friend perched high in the Cloud Mountains is Ky the Great Pyrenees. Ky serves as the loyal Policy Guardian of the cloud native ecosystem. Calm, observant, and equipped with a handy compass medallion, Ky gently watches over Kubernetes clusters to ensure every workload stays safe, compliant, and drift-free. Rather than restricting adventure, this friendly mountain hound guides developers so they can explore new features with confidence while remaining safely on the golden path.
Although not a traditional wild friend of Phippy, Ky is a diligent breed. The CNCF team decided that the Great Pyrenees was the perfect choice for their first domesticated protector.
